KIRF INDIA provides academic education, health services and other tools for economic self-suffiency for families who live in poverty in rural villages in Bihar, India. While the caste system no longer exists legally, socially it is still experienced every day by the poorest Indians. By providing a standards-based curiculum at our school, vocational training for local youth and some basic essentials for survival, KIRF INDIA is improving the lives of many so that they and their decendents may have a better future. KIRF INDIA partners with local Indian humanitarians in addition to donors and volunteers in order to provide a socially and financially sustainable community resource.

KIRF INIDIA (is also known as the "Kirwin International Relief Foundation Bodhgaya Indian Charitable Trust").

KIRF INDIA is a locally run and managed Indian non-profit organization based in Bodhgaya, India. Bodhgaya is a World Heritage site and a Buddhist pilgrimage destination in the northern Indian state of Bihar. KIRF INIDA's Educational Centers have served more than 450 children who have lived without adequate drinking water, nutritious food, electricity or sanitation in rural villages. For fours years I have had the honor and pleasure of
volunteering for a few weeks with Diane and KIRF India. It fills my soul seeing the children in the schools learning and smiling and laughing. Being just a small part of helping this happen is a joy.     ~ Ginny Page
